Alejandro Cevallos

He studied Arts at the Central University of Ecuador and Visual Anthropology at the Latin American School of Social Sciences. He worked as an art teacher at secondary level and as a researcher at the Instituto de la Ciudad. From 2011 to 2016 he coordinated the Community Mediation area of the Foundation Museos de la Ciudad, promoting an action-research agenda centred on critical education in museums and collaboration processes in multicultural contexts. Co-author of the documentary “Mercado San Roque una casa para todos”. He currently collaborates with the group Gescultura and is member of the network Another Roadmap for Art Education where he develops a research project on the trajectory of popular education in the Andean region of Ecuador.
