Association of Literature for Children and Young People in Basque language. Its main objectives are the promotion of reading among children and young people and the dissemination of Literature for Children and Young People in Basque language.
The “Itsaspeko Bihotzak” Hall is designed and directed by Aitziber Alonso, Mireia Delgado and Miren Guillo to promote interest in reading, gender equality and coeducation based on children’s literature in Euskera.
Graduated in Fine Arts from the University of the Basque Country-Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea. She has worked at Arteleku. She participates, together with Itziar Zubizarreta, in the preparation of literary rooms as illustrator. Graduated in Pedagogy and Anthropology, she is working on her PhD in Anthropology within the gender studies program (UPV / EHU). She has worked in the field of non-formal education, dealing specifically with gender, education and children’s literature; Hik Hasi journal, Galtzagorri association of literature for children and young people, and Emagin feminist research centre. Nowadays, she is professor at the University of the Basque Country, UPV / EHU. Beyond the academic areas, she participates in projects and programs that study topics such as the body and gender.
